Started this morning with coffee and a quick read of the paper. Took Sasha out. Then picked up my sister. Got some petrol and then drove up to Staverton. Had a nice leisurely flight to Lucknam Park. We failed to get hit by a glider. Had coffee and a poncy sandwich and then flew back via the estuary. Low wind, beautiful visibility, couldn’t really beat the day really, perfect flying weather. Drove home. Went out for a little bit, took down a Mystic gym from level ten to zero in thirty-six minutes. Did the accounts, powered up a load of Pokemon. Now it’s coming up to midnight so must be time to pick Jamie up from the station.
Then the SQL server decided it wasn’t happy with life
Dropped Jamie at the Station. He’s off to Durham with blue people, except he can’t pronounce it. Walked Sasha and noticed my email appeared to be down. Came back and checked the server, apparently it kernel panicked at about 6AM and bombed out of memory. I restarted the SQL service and mail appeared to work again, so did the web server. Had lunch. Booked a helicopter. Was rather disappointed, offered a free helicopter flight and no-one offered me a decent bottle of wine. Still, I’ll take Sarah out for a decent flight, we’ll do a land-away and have a coffee or something. Headed out, did a home check for a cat. Walked up Gloucester road, it was spitting with rain all the bloody time. Topped up on balls, caught everything, although the escape and dodge rate is now tedious. Several gyms have gone down in this area now, it’s so easy to take them down, but a real chore to build them back up. Mia was saying that a lot of the Instinct strongholds have gone down, she’s doing a rebuilding session tomorrow. But I really can’t be arsed to trek all the way across Bristol. I’m happy to have a pop at the local ones, but no interest after that. Anyway, I’m about one-hundred and twenty thousand from level thirty. So I’m going to obtain that, get the egg incubators and hatch until they run out. I’m not spending any more money on incubators now, if I get coins from gyms then all well and good, then I’m quitting for the winter. Quiet night in for me now, ravioli and a couple of small glasses of wine, then off to bed and do some reading I think.
I really can’t seem to find the fun in gym battling
Work was tedious. Managed to get everything checked in. On a major downer on the whole thing though, had a major whinge about certain things. Walked Sasha. Ran out of normal Pokeballs. Walked to the gym, failed to get mugged. Did Pump. Walked home and still failed to get mugged (Read the local news). So I’m on Level twenty-nine, I need 180,000 to get to level thirty. Even though last night was kind of fun, I’m finding gym battles somewhat tedious. I wished we’d just drive round and chat rather than having to stop and do finger bashing for hours on end.
Another night in the back of a Ford Mondeo
Work again was fine, spent most of the day building stuff. Walked Sasha. Cold but pleasant. Worked through until early evening, had a shower and then met up with Mia and friends. Spent the night driving round taking down gyms, good fun. Something a bit different. Now need a shit load of potions to revive everything.
The world, ‘You’re fired!’
I woke up this morning to listen to the radio to see how much Hilary Clinton had won by. By god was I in for a shock. I’ve no idea whats going to happen to the world now. I need to think about it some more before making any comments.
Work was fine, actually got something almost completed. Walked Sasha, light drizzle. Walked to gym. Apparently about the time I went and almost the exact route there were two kids threatening people with a base-ball bat. Lovely place to live sometimes. Did Pump, walked home, failed to get beaten up. Worked too long. Sat down and ate salad. Evolved a shit load of Pokemon and powered up a few others. We are out for a session tomorrow night.
I’ll admit, my arm is fucking sore
Started far too early this morning, was working well before 8AM. Worked all the way through until 2PM, walked Sasha quickly and then headed out to the tattooist’s. Got there just on time and Ben was still setting up. Two and a half hours later and it’s all finished. He wants to touch it up some time in the future as he’s not happy with some of the colouring. So I’ll pop back in six weeks. Came back and did more work. Ate. Now I’m going to watch the world destroy itself over what ever cocking president is elected.
You could literally freeze your tits off
Started a bit late. Spent the best part of six hours tracing a bug caused by me putting the encryption key outside of the loop. Ass. Walked Sasha, it was cold. Walked to the gym, that was cold. Did Combat. Walked home and that was even colder. Stopped off and boosted a gym on the way back. Did more work. Ate salad. Even had a yogurt. Think I’m going t pop a pill and have an early night. Want to start early tomorrow morning as I’m out for a while in the afternoon.
Where the hell did that weekend go?
All a bit of a blur really. Had a hell of a sleepless night worrying about wind. Woke up thinking that the forecasts were all wrong and the wind speed would have dropped. But indeed the opposite had happened. Spoke to James and we arranged to go out together and he would come out with me if it was gusty. Drove to Staverton and boy was it windy. Went out with him for twenty minutes and did some pickup and set-down practice. Picked up my very nervous passengers and off we went towards the Severn bridge. Crossed it and found the magic field with, ‘Marry me?’ written in Hungarian. Passed over it twice and then flew back up the M5 to Staverton. A great success. Jamie got a new position at work, so we went to the Swan to celebrate. I had Pigeon. It was interesting.
Today was a bit lazy. Fixed the fence. Walked the dog. Watched the fireworks and had a bath. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind weekend to be honest.
Looks like we will be shafted by the wind
Can’t complain about work, it’s been a strange week, but there was very good news at the end of it. Rain this morning, but sun at lunchtime. Walked Sasha. Walked to the gym, did Pump, walked home. Checked all the forecasts, I think tomorrows special flight will have to be cancelled due to the high winds. Shame, but it was the one thing that was beyond my control.
Five people huddled in a black Ford Mondeo
I wasn’t overly in the mood today, but to be honest, all was very quiet. Wether this is what its going to become or just the calm before a major shit storm I cannot tell. Nice day but bitterly cold. Walked Sasha. Went for a run. Then spent the evening in a back of a Ford Mondeo squeezed up next to two teachers. We all had phones, one of us had two phones. The driver was a lady called Mia, we had a lot of fun, didn’t get home until half midnight, very hungry.
